Allegations have emerged against a senior police officer in Hyderabad’s Rachakonda division, Sub-Inspector S. Malla Reddy, for consuming alcohol inside a police station and subsequently vomiting. The situation escalated as he reportedly failed to clean up after himself, despite directing staff to do so. The incident has ignited considerable public outrage, prompting Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu to order Reddy’s immediate transfer.
Reddy has now been reassigned to the office of the Telangana police chief. Currently, his responsibilities are being handled by DCP K. Manohar, who oversees road safety. This incident has sparked a debate within the police administration regarding such behavior, with many criticizing it as contrary to the discipline and reputation of the police force.
