Security forces apprehended a juvenile on Wednesday, believed to be an active member of the banned group RPF/PLA, in Khongjom Papal, located within the jurisdiction of Khongjom Police Station in Thoubal district. The minor is allegedly involved in extortion activities and is reported to have been actively recruiting new members from both Thoubal and Bishnupur districts. During the arrest, authorities recovered a mobile phone and a SIM card from his possession.
Officials confirmed that the juvenile is being handled according to the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act. A further investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
