Urgent Appeal: 1000 Non-Hindu Workers Demand Removal from Tirupati Temple!
At least 1,000 non-Hindu workers are employed at the Tirupati Temple, a site revered by Hindus. Recently, Union Minister for Home Affairs, Sanjay Kumar, wrote to the temple authorities of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, raising concerns over how so many individuals without faith in Sanatan Dharma are allowed to work at the temple. He has demanded the immediate removal of these individuals from their duties and has also suggested there might be a conspiracy at play within the temple.
In front of the media, the minister stated, “All non-Hindus visiting the Venkateswara Temple must declare their belief in God. How is it possible for 1,000 non-Hindus to be employed within the temple? Those who do not believe in God are still working here.”
In his letter to the Tirupati Temple authorities, he questioned, “If non-Hindu employees were previously hired, why has that rule not changed?” The minister also raised suspicions of potential corruption within the temple and called for an investigation into this matter.
It is essential to note that according to the 1989 Endowments Act, all employees of the Tirupati Devasthanam are required to adhere to Hindu customs and practices. The board has made it clear that there should be no compromises regarding Hindu beliefs at Tirumala; the temple’s culture must be respected by all. Earlier this year, in February, 18 employees were removed from their positions for violating duties. The Andhra Pradesh BJP supported this decision by the temple authorities. This time, Union Minister Sanjay Kumar has made explosive allegations concerning the employment practices at the temple.
