The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for seven districts in Telangana, effective Monday, July 7, 2025. This advisory comes as part of the IMD’s latest weather bulletin, highlighting the likelihood of significant precipitation in isolated areas within Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu districts.

In addition to the rainfall warning, the IMD forecasts thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds across all 33 districts of Telangana. Residents are advised to prepare for possible disruptions due to inclement weather throughout the state.

Hyderabad, the capital city, and its neighboring regions can expect a generally cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. The IMD has indicated that light rain or thundershowers, along with gusty winds, are likely in various parts of the city. Early morning haziness may also affect visibility, with maximum temperatures projected to reach around 33 degrees Celsius and minimums dropping to approximately 24 degrees Celsius.

These weather patterns signal a shift in conditions for the region, highlighting the need for residents to stay informed. As thunderstorms and heavy rains can lead to localized flooding and other hazards, the IMD recommends that people remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.

This warning comes amidst broader environmental concerns, as excessive rainfall can impact agriculture, transport, and daily life across the state. Stakeholders, particularly in agricultural sectors, should remain alert to the conditions that could affect crop yields.

With careful monitoring and preparation, residents can hopefully navigate this weather system with minimal disruption. The IMD continues to provide updates and urges the public to stay tuned for real-time information.

As the monsoon season is in full swing, it’s crucial for individuals in affected districts to remain aware of changing weather conditions. Authorities will provide further updates as the situation evolves through this dynamic weather pattern in Telangana.
