Exciting Progress: Two Ropeways to Kamakhya Temple Near Completion!
Chief Minister Sarma announced that the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) is overseeing a significant project aimed at improving infrastructure for pilgrims. Speaking to reporters, he highlighted the advancements made thus far, stating, “Work has already progressed significantly. The ropeway will greatly ease the journey for our shraddhalus visiting the sacred Kamakhya Temple.”
In addition to the existing Kamakhya Station–Kamakhya Temple connection, a second ropeway is being developed from Sonaram Field to the temple. While both projects are under development, the Chief Minister indicated that the Sonaram Field route will be completed after the Kamakhya Station line. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the travel experience for visitors to this revered site.
