India’s Nuclear Power: Stronger Than Pakistan, Reveals Latest SIPRI Report
Amid ongoing conflicts and tensions around the globe, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has released its 2025 report on nuclear-armed countries. According to this report, India slightly surpasses Pakistan in its nuclear capabilities but remains significantly behind China.
SIPRI’s data indicates that India currently possesses 180 nuclear warheads, a rise from 172 in 2024. In contrast, Pakistan has 170 nuclear warheads and has not increased this number since 2024.
As for China, SIPRI reports that the country now has approximately 600 nuclear warheads and has developed its land, sea, and air forces to be capable of nuclear strikes.
The report outlines that Russia continues to hold the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, with 5,459 warheads. Following Russia are the United States with 5,177 warheads, and then the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel are also mentioned in the report.
