Unveiling the Culinary Secrets: What Miss World 2025 Contestants are Savoring in Hyderabad!

As Hyderabad prepares to host the Miss World 2025 pageant, the spotlight turns to the culinary experience awaiting the 108 contestants at the Trident Hyderabad, the official hotel for this month-long event. With the grand finale scheduled for May 31, the hotel is committed to catering to the diverse palates of participants from around the globe.

In a recent conversation, Sous Chef Anubhav Mathur shared insights into the dining arrangements. After an engaging ‘make-your-own-pizza’ night with contestants, he emphasized that there isn’t a fixed diet plan. Instead, the culinary team has been tasked with curating an international menu that reflects the broad range of nationalities represented. To ensure privacy and tailored service, the hotel’s Tuscany restaurant has been designated exclusively for the contestants, drawing from offerings across its three dining outlets: Amara, which features a multi-cuisine menu; Kanak, known for its Indian dishes; and the Italian specialty restaurant, Tuscany.

Indian cuisine remains a staple, albeit modified to suit the preferences of the participants. Chef Anubhav mentioned that while Indian dishes like palak paneer and various dals are served, the spice levels have been adjusted. Among the popular choices are grilled meats marinated in malai and a variety of Indian breads. On the international front, high-protein salads, meats, and fish also feature prominently, including crowd favorites such as beetroot and feta salad and sweet potato salad. Local ingredients are highlighted, with millet breads and vegetable stir-fries adding to the health-conscious menu.

Even traditional favorites like biryani have been adapted to meet dietary preferences. “It’s flavorful yet mild, avoiding the typical heat from chili or red chili powder,” Chef Anubhav explained. Contestants, such as Millie-Mae Adams from Wales, have expressed appreciation for the hotel’s attentiveness to dietary restrictions, noting their effective management of food allergies.

To accommodate vegan contestants, the kitchen has creatively developed dishes featuring light gravies made from millets, raw jackfruit, and sweet potatoes. Anubhav noted that these participants are particularly curious about the ingredients and cooking methods. Desserts present a unique challenge, as the kitchen makes ice cream in-house, offering distinctive flavors like rose and pistachio. Health-conscious options are also available, with natural sweeteners like dates used in treats such as ladoos.

Contestants are already sharing their culinary favorites. Hana Johns from Northern Ireland declared her love for biryani, stating, “I had the biryani for three days and I cannot get enough of it.” Grace Ramtu from Kenya praised the chicken curry, exclaiming, “My eyes light up when I see chicken curry for any meal.”

As excitement builds for the finals of the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant set to take place at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, the Trident Hyderabad is not only preparing for the event but also redefining culinary hospitality for its illustrious guests, ensuring each meal is a flavorful journey that celebrates their diverse backgrounds.

This commitment to thoughtful, globally-minded cuisine ensures the contestants have a delightful dining experience that complements their busy schedules throughout the pageant.
