Guwahati: Topcem Cement, a leading cement brand in Northeast India, in collaboration with Mission Smile-a government-registered medical charitable trust-has launched its 8th ‘Free Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery’ camp in Guwahati. This year, the initiative aims to provide transformative surgeries for 25 children from Assam at the Mission Smile Guwahati Comprehensive Cleft Lip Centre, situated within the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital.
The surgeries commenced on May 20, 2025, and will continue throughout the week, managed by a team of skilled medical professionals. This initiative reflects Topcem Cement’s commitment to improving the lives of underprivileged children facing cleft deformities, offering them a hopeful chance for a brighter future.

Mission Smile, cooperating closely with the governments of Assam and Meghalaya, has been instrumental in delivering cleft care across these states. Over the last decade, Mission Smile has conducted more than 25,000 surgeries, averaging over 1,200 procedures annually.
