In a significant announcement affecting thousands of government job seekers in Assam, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed that the next phase of the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) will commence on June 15, 2025. This major update was delivered during a Facebook Live session on Sunday, where the Chief Minister addressed numerous questions concerning the recruitment timeline.
CM Sarma elaborated that this upcoming phase includes tests focused on computer proficiency, specific skills, driving, and oral evaluations for various Grade III and Grade IV positions. He highlighted that examinations for roles such as Grade III Drivers, Stenographers, and Electricians under the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) have already taken place. The computer tests for Grade III positions, driving assessments for drivers, and skill evaluations for stenographers and electricians will begin on June 15, with plans to wrap up this assessment round within a month.
Additionally, the Chief Minister announced that oral and viva voce tests for Grade IV candidates who have passed the written exam will also be conducted concurrently starting June 15, with the same one-month timeline for completion. A formal notification detailing precise schedules and procedures will be published in the next two to three days. “I appeal to all qualified candidates to begin their preparations in earnest,” Sarma emphasized.
Moreover, CM Sarma provided updates regarding the Graduate and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) recruitment process, confirming that provisional results for these exams will be announced on June 5. He stated that after the results, document verification will be performed, ensuring that candidates with valid and authentic documents will be formally selected for positions.
