President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform during a flight on Air Force One to launch personal attacks against music icons Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. The remarks came as Trump was returning from a diplomatic trip to the Middle East. Trump’s comments targeted Springsteen, who had recently criticized the U.S. administration during a concert in the UK, calling it “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous.” In response, the 78-year-old former president labeled Springsteen “Highly Overrated,” adding, “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics. Importantly, he’s not a talented guy—just a pushy, obnoxious JERK.” Trump also went as far as to deride Springsteen’s appearance, suggesting he should “KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT” until he returns to the U.S.
Springsteen, known for his liberal views, campaigned for Joe Biden in the previous election cycle and has been vocal about his concerns for America. During his ongoing “Land of Hope & Dreams” tour, he expressed to fans that the America he cherishes is at risk, urging them to “raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring.”
In another social media post, Trump shared his disdain for Swift, who recently endorsed Kamala Harris for the Democratic nominee in 2024. In a contextless quip, Trump remarked, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'” This statement echoed a post from September last year when he infamously declared his dislike for the pop star.
Swift, now 35, is recognized as the wealthiest female musician globally, boasting an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion alongside 14 Grammy Awards and 30 MTV Video Music Awards.
