Haryana Police has arrested Jyoti Rani, a YouTuber from Hisar, on charges of espionage for Pakistan. A case has been filed against her at the Civil Lines police station in Hisar, and she has been presented in court, where she was remanded for five days. Hisar’s Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kamaljeet, stated that Jyoti was allegedly in contact with Pakistani intelligence agencies and was sharing sensitive information via social media. Officials revealed that she has made four trips to Pakistan, prompting Indian security agencies to monitor her activities closely.
In a related incident, a 25-year-old man named Devender Singh was detained by Haryana Police from Mastgarh village in Kaithal on similar charges of spying for the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. Kaithal Superintendent of Police, Aastha Modi, reported that Singh transmitted confidential data regarding the Indian Army, including details about Operation ‘Sindoor,’ to Pakistan. His troubles began when he was first apprehended on May 13 for a Facebook post that involved illegal weapons. During interrogation, he reportedly made several shocking revelations, raising further concerns about national security.
