Shillong, May 15: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated a new traffic police booth and urinal facility at Red Cross Laban today, marking a significant development for the area. The total cost of constructing both facilities is Rs 6.3 lakhs.
During the inauguration, Superintendent of Police (Traffic) K Prasad emphasized the importance of the new booth, stating it is essential for traffic management and checks in a region known for heavy traffic congestion.
Sanbor Shullai also announced plans to install a similar traffic booth and urinal facility in the Batti Bazar area of Laban, aimed at better serving the public needs. This initiative reflects a commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and public safety in Shillong.
