The Khelo India Youth Games will conclude this evening with a vibrant and entertaining closing ceremony at the Pataliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna, Bihar, starting at 6:30 PM. The Games, which kicked off on the 4th of this month, are wrapping up with pivotal medal events in Basketball, Wrestling, and Fencing taking place in Patna and Rajgir.
In the boys’ basketball, Tamil Nadu secured the Bronze medal after a decisive victory over Delhi this morning. Meanwhile, the girls’ team from Punjab triumphed over Maharashtra to also take home the Bronze medal.
Maharashtra is poised to be crowned the overall champion of the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, boasting an impressive haul of 149 medals, which includes 56 gold and 45 silver. Haryana has made a strong comeback, occupying the second position with 107 medals, comprising 35 gold and 26 silver. Rajasthan holds the third spot with a total of 55 medals, featuring 22 gold.
The closing ceremony will be graced by several dignitaries, including Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
In the final showdown of girls’ basketball, Karnataka emerged victorious against Haryana, adding yet another gold medal to their achievements in the tournament.
