Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized today that India does not engage in violence or initiate attacks, but will respond decisively if provoked. Speaking at an event in Agartala, Saha, who also serves as the Home Minister, stated that India’s historical stance reflects a commitment to peace, asserting that it has never attacked any nation—this principle is ingrained in the country’s identity.

“We will respond strongly,” Saha declared, referencing recent terrorist attacks on civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed these threats, noting that a war has been declared against terrorism. Saha elaborated on the achievements of the Indian military, revealing that nine terrorist camps in Pakistan had been targeted successfully. He clarified that those involved were not ordinary citizens but individuals launching attacks against India, and emphasized the coordinated responses from the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy.

The Chief Minister noted that Operation Sindoor was initiated, despite a ceasefire declaration, underscoring the ongoing fight against terrorism. “We do not advocate for violence. However, if we are attacked, we will give an appropriate response,” he stated, reinforcing India’s commitment to national security.
