The summer and final placement drive at the Indian Institute of Management-Tiruchi (IIM-T) has seen a significant surge in recruitment this year. Over 150 companies participated, providing 290 positions for Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) students and 30 for PGPM-Human Resources candidates during the summer placements, as stated in an official press release.
This year marked a notable 53% increase in the highest stipends offered within the manufacturing, pharma, hospitality, and logistics (MPHL) sectors, with top stipends reaching ₹3.5 lakh for PGPM students and ₹2 lakh for those in PGPM-HR. In a collaborative initiative with Atypical Advantage, individuals with disabilities were able to secure prestigious positions at renowned companies during the summer recruitment window.
The final placement drive showcased an impressive 150% rise in engagement from MPHL companies, alongside a 23% increase in pre-placement offers. The highest salary packages offered were ₹43.94 lakh for PGPM candidates and ₹33.12 lakh for those pursuing PGPM-HR. Leading recruiters from various sectors, including Information Technology, analytics, operations, sales and marketing, consulting, strategy, media, and finance, actively participated in this drive. Additionally, emerging sectors such as sustainable technology, digital wellness, and personalized healthcare demonstrated robust interest.
Public sector giants like Gas Authority of India Ltd., Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd., V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, and the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency also engaged in this year’s recruitment efforts, reflecting a broad spectrum of employment opportunities.
IIM-T director Pawan Kumar Singh expressed pride in the achievements of the students, stating, “This placement season spotlighted our students’ remarkable determination and outstanding performance. The institute remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing future leaders and fostering symbiotic relationships with the global business fraternity.”
As a result, the class of 2025 is entering the workforce with substantial placements and opportunities across diverse industries, underscoring IIM-T’s reputation as a leading institution for management education in India.
