Assam Cabinet minister and AGP leader Atul Bora has launched a strong attack on the Congress party while campaigning for the upcoming Panchayat elections, forecasting a significant defeat for the opposition. Shifting focus to the Raijor Dal, led by MLA Akhil Gogoi, Bora dismissed its credibility, alleging that the party is an offshoot of Congress politics. “Raijor Dal is a political party born out of Congress’s lineage. I do not even consider Akhil Gogoi’s Raijor Dal as a proper political party,” he remarked, suggesting a lack of respect for its legitimacy in the political landscape.
