Outrage in Tripura: Minor Girl Allegedly Gang-Raped in Abandoned Madrassa Hostel, Authorities Take Notice
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted in an abandoned madrassa hostel in Kadamtala, Tripura, in a shocking crime that has sent shockwaves through the community. According to police reports, the incident occurred on Saturday night when the victim, a resident of Kurti village, was on her way to a relative’s wedding within the same locality.
The victim claimed that she was stopped by two individuals, one of whom is also a minor, who forcibly took her to the abandoned religious school’s lodging and perpetrated the assault. The perpetrators allegedly fled the scene, leaving the victim behind. Following her ordeal, she returned home and recounted her story to her family, who launched a search operation and apprehended one of the alleged perpetrators, a 19-year-old daily wage laborer, from his residence on the same night.
The apprehended individual has been taken into custody by the Kadamtala police, who have registered a case against both suspects. A comprehensive investigation is underway, with law enforcement officials endeavoring to locate and apprehend the second accused. The victim has undergone a medical examination, and her condition is currently reported as stable.
