Kohima, April 3 – In an effort to promote accountability, discipline, and a culture of responsiveness within government offices, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton conducted a surprise inspection drive at the Civil Secretariat in Kohima. Accompanied by senior officials, including Home Commissioner Vyasan R, ADGP Renjamo Kikon, Special Secretary Limasunep Jamir, and Home Secretary Orenthung Lotha, Patton’s objective was to identify instances of absenteeism and ensure that government departments were functioning efficiently.
Patton, who holds the portfolio of Home and Border Affairs, emphasized that the administration will continue to take firm and consistent steps to build a more responsive and responsible administration for the people of Nagaland. Seeing firsthand the working conditions and employees’ attendance in the departments of Personnel & Administrative Reforms, Social Welfare, Evaluation, Economics, and Planning, Patton and his team made note of any discrepancies and took necessary actions to rectify the issues.
