This development follows another recent clemency decision by Trump concerning Devon Archer, another business partner associated with Hunter Biden and Galanis. Archer received a full and unconditional pardon, drawing applause from right-wing supporters for his public remarks on the intersecting paths of Hunter Biden’s business activities and President Biden’s public service roles. Archer had been implicated in the same Native American fraud scheme as Galanis. Although a trial judge initially overturned Archer’s fraud conviction, a federal appeals court reinstated the conviction in 2020.
While Hunter Biden has not faced charges connected to these cases, his legal representatives have firmly stated that he was not involved in any wrongdoing. Meanwhile, the judge presiding over Galanis’s case labeled him as “the admitted mastermind of the conspiracy and a serial fraudster,” underscoring the gravity of his offenses.
