A Los Angeles model, Brianna Stern, has filed a civil lawsuit against Andrew Tate, known for his controversial online presence and misogynistic views, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse during their relationship. Filed on Thursday in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, the complaint alleges that Tate choked, beat, and verbally harassed Stern, tracing back to a relationship that commenced last July and included a recent hotel stay in California.
This lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal challenges facing Andrew Tate, who is under investigation in both the UK and Romania for allegations including human trafficking, sex crimes, and money laundering. Tate and his brother Tristan recently spent substantial time under house arrest in Romania amidst these legal battles but were permitted to leave the country in February.

Their relationship moved quickly, with plans to cohabit in the United States, but the situation soured as Tate allegedly insisted Stern tattoo “Property of Tate” on her body, a demand reportedly made of other women he was involved with.
Stern provided purported text exchanges with Tate, illustrating his controlling behavior. One message allegedly warned, “if you ever betray me you will regret it,” while another implied violence by suggesting that she was only valuable if he “beat [her] and impregnate[d] [her].” These texts underscore the serious nature of Stern’s claims.
After the alleged assault, Stern sought medical attention for post-concussion syndrome. She delayed contacting authorities until after the Tates had left for Romania on March 22, fearing retaliation. Stern’s public statement expressed her struggle with fear in speaking out, acknowledging potential backlash from Tate’s followers yet asserting, “I speak the truth.”
The Beverly Hills Police Department has yet to comment on these allegations. Meanwhile, Tate continues to face ongoing investigations and legal issues in Romania and beyond. The brothers’ recent presence in Florida prompted both alarm from women’s rights advocates and scrutiny from state authorities, reflecting the broader controversy surrounding their activities and public personas.
