Delhi police have successfully apprehended a driver in Goa, accused of stealing diamond jewelry valued at ₹16 lakh along with ₹1.3 lakh in cash from his employer’s vehicle. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Induluri Ranga Reddy, had been employed by the complainant for the past four months, during which he meticulously observed her daily routine before executing the theft, according to police sources.

According to the call, a locked car parked in front of the Pahadi Wala Gurudwara in GK-I had been burglarized, with valuable jewelry and a significant amount of cash stolen. In a turn of events, the police tracked down Mr. Reddy in Goa, where he reportedly confessed to the crime. The investigation unveiled that prior to moving to Delhi in search of employment, Reddy lived in Gurugram. After committing the theft, he used a portion of the stolen money to flee to the airport and purchase a ticket to Goa. In a reckless spree, he spent part of the remaining cash at a local casino. Authorities have since recovered the stolen items, including a diamond necklace, a pair of diamond earrings, and ₹50,000 in cash from him.
Reddy’s apprehension in Goa showcases the determination of Delhi law enforcement to swiftly bring the perpetrator to justice. A police officer involved in the arrest stated that the swift conclusion of this case was due in part to close cooperation between Delhi and Goa authorities. “We were able to work efficiently and ensure the suspect was apprehended before he could further evade justice,” the officer commented.
