Golakganj Police Make Breakthrough in Elderly Couple Attack Case

Investigations into the March 17 attack on an elderly couple in Golakganj have taken a significant turn with the arrest of Sattar Ali, the 54-year-old son of Nagar Ali and a resident of Batuatuli village. Sattar Ali is the father of Shahidul Haque, the prime accused in the case who remains on the run. This development comes as a major blow to the suspected ringleader, who is still at large.

Shahidul Haque’s brother, Sadek Ali, was taken into custody on March 18 and subsequently presented before a court. The police requested a four-day remand, which was granted on Monday, allowing them to further investigate the case.
