The inaugural edition of the Late Dorjee Khandu Memorial District Level Archery Tournament was officially launched in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, with pomp and fanfare. The event was inaugurated by Kento Jini, the Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, in the presence of Lumla MLA Tsering Lhamu, Deputy Commissioner of Tawang, senior government officials, and public leaders. The tournament is being hosted by the Tawang District Archery Association, with the generous sponsorship of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his family.
The primary objective of the tournament is to promote traditional archery while integrating Olympic-style training to enhance the skills of young archers in the region.
