The National Testing Agency (NTA) is approaching the deadline for applications to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025. Aspiring candidates must submit their applications by March 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM, marking the close of the registration period that commenced on February 7, 2025. To secure a slot in the highly competitive medical entrance examination, candidates should promptly register through the official portal at neet.nta.nic.in, a process the NTA has been emphasizing through repeated reminders.
Successful registration is the gateway to the sole examination in India that facilitates entry into undergraduate medical and allied courses. In recent years, the NEET UG has seen a significant surge in applicants, with 24,06,079 individuals registering in 2024 alone, a notable increase from 20,87,462 registrations in 2023. Candidates are advised to complete the process at the earliest to avoid any last-minute difficulties,” the NTA stated. Following the closure of the application phase, the NTA will open its application correction window from March 9 to March 11, up to 11:50 PM. During this period, candidates can make necessary amendments to their application forms. It’s crucial to note that final corrections may require additional fees, particularly if changes impact the initial payment. The NTA specifies that any necessary excess payments during this correction phase will not be refunded, hence applicants should consider corrections carefully.
Prospective candidates will sit for the NEET UG 2025 on May 4. As part of the application process, students must select three preferred cities for their examination centers, limited to their state of permanent or current address, thereby facilitating ease of access and reducing travel burdens.
