Nagaland Governor Joins Camaraderie of Nation-Building at Doimukh’s ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ Programme
“India’s Cultural Tapestry Unfurls at Ragiv Gandhi University’s ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ Event”
A vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage took center stage at Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) in Doimukh, as the ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ program kicked off on March 6. Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, the chief guest, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in fostering unity among India’s diverse communities. He highlighted that India’s strength lies in its ability to embrace different traditions while maintaining a shared national identity. The event aimed to promote mutual respect and understanding through music, dance, and storytelling, showcasing performances from multiple states, including Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Assam.
The event saw the coming together of various cultural troupes, leaving the audience mesmerized. Governor Ganesan praised the organizers and artists for their tireless efforts, acknowledging the Department of Art and Culture and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for their support. He also underscored the need to preserve these traditions for future generations, saying they are an essential part of India’s cultural fabric. “We need to learn from each other’s languages, music, and art forms to strengthen our national identity,” he added.
The event was organized by the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. While expressing his gratitude, Governor Ganesan emphasized the significance of cultural institutions, government bodies, and youth actively participating in initiatives like ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ to sustain and promote India’s rich cultural diversity. As the event came to a close, there was a sense of pride and unity in the air, fueling aspirations for a brighter future.
