Heroic Security Forces Courageously Dismantle Volunteer Check Posts in Churachandpur
Joint security forces in Manipur have dismantled volunteer check posts at Kaprang and S. Kwatlian in Churachandpur District along National Highway-2 as of February 15. According to a statement on the official X account of the Manipur Police, the removal of these checkpoints follows a significant improvement in the area’s security situation, rendering them unnecessary. After dismantling the check posts, security personnel took control of these strategic locations to ensure the uninterrupted movement of civilian vehicles. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining order and safety along the highways and are diligently monitoring the security environment to ensure public safety.
In a separate operation, Manipur Police conducted a surprise inspection of car accessory shops at MG Avenue, Thangal Bazar in the Imphal West district, focusing on the sale of illegal tinted or black films. This inspection led to the discovery and confiscation of ten rolls of black film from three shops, which were subsequently taken to the police station in the city. The shop owners were instructed to cease the sale of black film rolls moving forward.
These comprehensive actions underscore law enforcement agencies’ ongoing efforts to maintain a secure and orderly environment for citizens while ensuring compliance with regulations intended to enhance public safety.
