Guwahati: Assam Police Rescue Abducted Teenage Girls in Successful Operation
In a commendable operation, Assam Police have successfully rescued two teenage girls who were reported missing from Suagpur in Baksa district on February 5. The duo endured a harrowing two-day captivity at an abandoned railway quarter in Mazbat, Udalguri, before their eventual rescue.
The operation was launched swiftly following complaints from their families. Utilizing mobile location data, the police were able to pinpoint the girls’ location, leading to a successful raid on the deserted premises.
Three individuals have been apprehended in connection to the abduction, though one suspect remains at large. Among those captured, Babu Boro, a 22-year-old from Hajuguri in Mazbat, has been identified as the alleged mastermind of the plot. The police have intensified their efforts to apprehend the remaining suspect and continue their investigation into the incident.
This rescue underscores the effectiveness of the Assam Police in responding to and resolving critical cases, providing a sense of relief and justice to the families involved.
