Incorporating seasonal and local foods ensures fresher and more nutritious meals, with benefits for both health and the environment. Mindful eating practices, like chewing slowly and avoiding distractions, help control portions and aid digestion.

The plan advises against crash diets, which can lead to nutritional deficiencies and a slowed metabolism, advocating for gradual, sustainable changes instead. Combining the diet with physical activity, such as brisk walking or yoga, can enhance weight loss results. Indian spices such as turmeric and cumin are recommended for their metabolism-boosting properties.
