He drew attention to an imposter account on X (formerly Twitter), which was fraudulently using his name to share misleading content. The imposter account posted a picture featuring the singer with President Murmu, misleading fans and followers into thinking it was authorized by Nigam himself.
Sonu took to Instagram again to express his frustration, highlighting the potential dangers such imposters pose to his reputation and personal safety. He lashed out against the media, authorities, and the government for their silence over the issue, emphasizing the risks associated with allowing such accounts to operate unchecked. He lamented, “I am not on Twitter or X. Can you imagine a single controversial post from this Sonu Nigam Singh can put me or my family’s life in danger?”
In his candid post, Nigam called for immediate action against the individuals maintaining these imposter accounts and criticized the apathetic silence of relevant authorities, warning about the potential consequences of unchecked misinformation.
