Celebrated Triumph: Arunachal’s Visionary Drishyamuni Chakma Wins Bharat Gaurav Yuva Award for Inspiring Youth Empowerment & Social Advocacy
Drishyamuni Chakma from Diyun, Arunachal Pradesh, has been honored with the Bharat Gaurav Yuva Award by Bharat Vikas Sangam in recognition of his impactful work in youth empowerment, sustainable development, child rights advocacy, and combating child labor, trafficking, and drug abuse. His contributions to promoting young entrepreneurship were also acknowledged during the award ceremony held at the Bharat Sanskriti Utsav-7 in Sedam, Kalaburagi District, Karnataka, from January 29 to February 6.
The festival, organized by Shri K.N. Govindacharya, a former RSS Pracharak and BJP General Secretary, along with former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Basawaraj Patil, celebrated the ‘Sangam’ tradition by uniting socially committed individuals for national development. Govindacharya highlighted the event’s role in reinforcing collective efforts toward India’s progress.
In a ceremony that underscored the contributions of young leaders across India, 51 young achievers aged 18 to 35 were presented with the Bharat Gaurav Yuva Award. The awards were handed out by Padma Shri awardee Sunita Krishnan, Retired Major General Pramod K. Sehgal, and Poojya Shri Dnyaraj Manik Prabhu Maharaj. Apart from Chakma, awardees from Arunachal Pradesh included Prem Camdir Tallong, former AAPSU Education Secretary and Coordinator of the Pakke Paga Hornbill Festival, and Rosy Taba, an APPSC Member and former NCPCR Member.
The event was inaugurated by former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, and was attended by various state and central ministers, national awardees, and other distinguished guests. The festival served as a platform to honor exemplary young individuals who are making significant contributions to various sectors, highlighting the importance of their roles in shaping the future of the nation.
