Heroic Security Force Triumphantly Uncovers Massive Weapons Cache
In a significant operation in Manipur’s Thoubal district, central and state forces uncovered a large stash of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and electronic equipment. The raid was carried out at an abandoned militant camp near the foothill of Ushoipokpi, under the Lilong Police Station, following an intelligence tip-off.
The joint team of Manipur Police and Assam Rifles recovered a variety of items, including a Single Bore Barrel (Sniper), a country-made rifle, an Amogh Carbine magazine, three .303 magazines, a hand grenade, a detonator, live rounds of different calibers, and several empty cases. Additionally, they found a Green Smoke 80MK1, two stun shells, and three tear smoke shells.
In the electronics cache, three TYT radio sets, an antenna, three chargers, and an adaptor were retrieved. All recovered items have been submitted to the local police station for further processing, according to a police statement.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Indian security forces to maintain peace and security in the region, targeting militant activities specifically in the northeastern state of Manipur.
