The 2025 edition of The Hindu Lit Fest kicks off with Dr. Abraham Verghese, a prominent physician and author, leading an insightful discussion on ‘Writing as a Form of Self-Discovery.’ Verghese’s diverse journey from Kerala to Ethiopia and then the U.S. profoundly influences his acclaimed writing, notably in “The Covenant of Water.”
Meanwhile, The Hindu Pavilion will showcase Romulus Whitaker, a top herpetologist in India, and Janaki Lenin, a celebrated wildlife author, who will share their experiences in conservation and their deep bond with nature.
Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor will engage in an enlightening dialogue with The Hindu’s CEO L.V. Navaneeth, exploring ‘A Wonderland of Words,’ thematic to Tharoor’s latest literary offering. As part of the festival, Tharoor will also partake in a Q&A session, sharing his insights on current readings and his approach to life and literature.
