Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has significantly bolstered security measures at his Mumbai residence, Galaxy Apartments, following escalating threats from gang elements, particularly the Lawrence Bishnoi group. The 59-year-old actor’s home is now equipped with blue-colored bulletproof glass and electric fencing, underscoring the seriousness of the threats he faces. This heightened security follows alarming incidents, including the murder of his close confidant, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.

Recent images shared on social media show workers installing defensive enhancements at Khan’s residence, with the electric fencing adding another layer of protection. Known for his decades-long prominence in Indian cinema, Khan has long been a target of threats, notably linked to the controversial 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, notorious for threatening Salman, continues to pose a significant threat.

In response to the intensified threats, Khan has been accorded Y-plus security, which includes a team of highly trained police personnel to guard him. Additionally, he now travels with a police escort to ensure his safety on the move. A specially trained constable proficient in handling various weapons has been assigned to his personal security detail, highlighting the extent of the protective measures now in place.

Beyond safeguarding his Mumbai home, Khan’s Panvel farmhouse in Maharashtra has also undergone a security upgrade, ensuring his safety during personal retreats. This comprehensive security overhaul was further justified in April 2024 when gunmen targeted his residence, firing multiple shots before fleeing. Thankfully, there were no injuries, but the incident starkly underscored the persistent danger posed by criminal factions, allegedly linked to the Bishnoi gang.

These enhanced security precautions reflect the ongoing threats against Salman Khan, underscoring the grave measures necessary to safeguard his life amidst rising criminal activities.
