Triumphant Victory: Himanta Biswa Sarma Reclaims 74,115 Bighas of Illegally Occupied Land!

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced a significant victory in the state’s ongoing battle against land encroachment, revealing that the government has successfully reclaimed approximately 74,000 bighas of forest land. This land, previously encroached upon by unidentified individuals, has now been returned to the state’s forest department. Furthermore, he shared that 9,000 hectares of forest area have been restored to their original status as protected forests.
