Join the Inspiring Movement: Empower Sivasagar at the Transformative Awareness Rally to Eradicate Gender-Based Discrimination!
SIVASAGAR: A dynamic awareness rally was held in Sivasagar, focusing on the eradication of gender-based discrimination, as part of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative. This event was orchestrated by the Women’s Empowerment Center alongside the District Social Welfare Department, supported by the Sivasagar District Administration.
The rally was officially launched by Sivasagar’s District Development Commissioner, Samiran Bora. Key figures, including Assistant Commissioner and Social Welfare Officer-in-Charge Barnali Khatiwara, Executive Magistrate Ganesh Baro, and the District Project Coordinator from the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, were present to underscore the importance of the cause. Joining them were the District Child Protection Officer, members of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), staff from the District Social Welfare Department, and representatives from the Poshan Abhiyan initiative.
This collaborative effort aims to raise awareness and drive meaningful action against gender inequality, fostering an environment that supports the right of girls to be educated and empowered.
