Valued at an astonishing Rs 78 crore, the seized consignment consisted of 3.9 lakh yaba tablets—a potent synthetic drug with a high street value in the international market.

On the evening of December 20, at around 6 PM, security forces apprehended Rakesh Miya, a 33-year-old resident of Melaghar, Sonamura. Miya was transporting the illegal consignment approximately 35 kilometers from Teliamura when he was intercepted by the vigilant team.
The operation, concluding by 8 PM, has been hailed as a major triumph in the ongoing battle against drug networks in the region.
