Breaking News: Triumph Over Crime as Suspected Trafficker Arrested and Narcotics Seized in Dhubri’s Manullapara
In a decisive midnight operation, Dhubri police in Assam targeted drug trafficking activities in Manullapara village, under the jurisdiction of Kharuabandha police station. The operation, directed by Pratap Das, Additional Superintendent of Police for South Salmara Mankachar, was prompted by intelligence reports and resulted in the arrest of a suspected trafficker, Ismail Hussain.
Authorities from Kharuabandha and Kalapani police stations converged on the residence of the 26-year-old suspect, Ismail Hussain, the son of Abdul Qadir Ali, located in South Manullapara village. The coordinated raid yielded significant results, as police seized a cache of illegal narcotics, including 575 Tramadol tablets and 5 Yaba tablets. Additionally, Rs 2,460 in cash was confiscated, alongside a motorcycle alleged to be used in the smuggling activities.
Executing the raid under the cover of darkness was a strategic decision that helped officers catch the suspect unaware, leading to the successful confiscation of illegal substances. The police have since confirmed that Hussain was taken into custody and is currently undergoing intensive interrogation. Authorities are focused on unraveling the broader network of narcotics trafficking connected to Hussain.
Investigations are actively ongoing, and police aim to dismantle the operations underpinning this illegal trade. This operation underscores the commitment of Dhubri police, alongside regional enforcement agencies, to combat drug trafficking and enhance community safety.
