In an effort to enhance cultural harmony and unity, the General Officer Commanding 3 Corps, Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, launched a national integration tour from the Likabali Military Station in Lower Siang district on Saturday. This initiative, part of the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavna and organized by the Spear Corps, aims to foster national integration by uniting people from various backgrounds.
According to an official report, the tour includes 20 pilgrims who commenced their journey from Tuting in Upper Siang district and are traveling to the sacred site of Tawang in the Tawang district. Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, Defence PRO, emphasized that the initiative not only seeks to promote unity but also encourages cultural and religious understanding among the state’s diverse communities.
The tour will navigate through tranquil and spiritually significant locations, providing participants with a chance to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of Arunachal Pradesh. Lt Col Rawat highlighted that this effort underscores the Army’s dedication to nation-building, especially in remote areas, by fostering communal harmony and strengthening relationships with local communities.
This venture is part of the Army’s larger mission to integrate remote communities into the national framework and to exemplify India’s unity in diversity. Through this initiative, the Indian Army aims to demonstrate its commitment to supporting nation-building efforts and nurturing unity among the diverse communities in the country.
