Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Roars Towards Victory: Just Rs 20 Crore Away from Surpassing RRR with a Stunning Rs 1150 Crore Box Office Triumph!
The buzz around director Sukumar’s “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is palpable, as the movie breaks box office records and captivates audiences nationwide. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, the film has achieved phenomenal success, raking in Rs 762.1 crore net in India over nine days. On the ninth day alone, the film collected a staggering Rs 36.25 crore. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the breakdown of day nine’s earnings includes Rs 27 crore from the Hindi version, Rs 7.5 crore from Telugu, Rs 1.35 crore from Tamil, and Rs 0.2 crore from Kannada and Malayalam.
During its spectacular opening week, Pushpa 2 amassed an impressive Rs 725.8 crore. The previews and opening day alone generated Rs 10.65 crore and Rs 164.25 crore, respectively. Although initial drops in collections were observed on the first Friday, the film surged during the weekend, collecting Rs 119.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 141.05 crore on Sunday.
Beyond domestic success, “Pushpa 2” has solidified its position as the fastest-grossing film in India, surpassing the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally in record time. With a total worldwide earnings of Rs 1,067 crore in the first week, it has set a new benchmark in Indian cinema.
Not everything has been smooth sailing, however. The film’s release was overshadowed by a tragic stampede at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre that resulted in one death and left another individual injured. This incident led to Allu Arjun’s arrest, although he was granted a four-week interim bail by the Telangana High Court.
