Pine Mount and Graceland Schools’ Remarkable Victory in Thrilling Jr NBA 3v3 City League Finals!
Pine Mount School’s U-14 girls’ team from Shillong and Graceland School’s U-14 boys’ team from Aizawl emerged victorious as the Aizawl leg of the ACG Jr NBA 3v3 City League concluded in Mizoram’s capital. Both teams secured their spots in the nationwide tournament finals, set for early next year. Notably, Wankmenbiang Mawlong from Pine Mount School and Michael Lalnunmawia from Graceland School received the Skechers MVP awards for their exceptional performances. Phillip Lalnunkima Langsing of Graceland School was the top scorer in the boys’ division with 122 points, while Phillarishisha Myllienmngap from St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, led the girls’ division with 44 points.
St Mary’s Higher Secondary School claimed the first runner-up spot in the U-14 girls’ category, with Home Missions School, Aizawl, finishing as the second runner-up. The girls’ All-Star team featured players from Graceland and Lalmalsawma Memorial Schools in Aizawl. In the U-14 boys’ division, JC Elementary School was the first runner-up, followed by Home Missions School, Aizawl, as the second runner-up. The boys’ All-Star team included athletes from Mount Carmel, Home Missions, North Point, and Tiny Tots Schools, all based in Aizawl.
This competition is the 11th edition under the Basketball Federation of India and is being held in various cities, including Mumbai, Chennai, Aizawl, Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, and Ludhiana. The top teams from each city compete in a league phase, with the best three boys’ and girls’ teams, and an All-Star team advancing to the finals.
