Unveiling the Triumph: Chiranjeev Phukan and Partha Sarmah’s Inspiring Leadership on ACS, APS Lists
Guwahati, Dec 5: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) released the final results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2023, culminating an efficient eight-month recruitment process. The announcement spotlights Chiranjeev Phukan, a distinguished B. Tech graduate from NIT Silchar, as the top achiever in the Assam Civil Service (ACS) (Jr. Grade) category. In the Assam Police Service (APS) (Jr. Grade) list, Partha Pratim Sarmah secured the highest position. Anisha Buragohain, an alumna of the London School of Economics, attained the second place in the ACS category, while Annesha Duarah was the second top performer in the APS list.
In total, 235 candidates were successful, with 45 appointed to ACS, 35 to APS, and 107 to the Assam Accounts Service. Additional appointments included 13 in the Assam Finance Service, 11 as Inspecting Auditors, six as Block Development Officers, and four each in roles such as Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Inspector of Taxes, and Inspector of Labour. Other positions filled were Superintendent of Taxes, Superintendent of Excise, Assistant Employment Officer, and Sub-Registrar, among others.
The CCE 2023 saw the participation of 67,251 candidates, and the preliminary examination took place in March 2024. With its precise execution and timely completion, the APSC has set a new benchmark by concluding the entire process within a record eight months. This achievement underscores the dedicated and streamlined efforts of the APSC in maintaining transparency and efficiency throughout this significant recruitment phase.
