Dibrugarh: Youths from Upper Assam Experience Transformative National Tour
A delegation of young students from the remote reaches of Upper Assam recently undertook a transformative journey thanks to the Indian Army’s National Integration Tour. This tour introduced them to the vibrant diversity of India, taking them to major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmednagar.
For many, including Beatrica Sonowal, a Class XI student from Tinsukia, the experience was unprecedented. "It was like a dream come true," she expressed, reflecting on her visit to iconic locations and her encounters with inspiring individuals.
The students were particularly captivated by the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the dynamic atmosphere of Mumbai, and the historical essence of Ahmednagar. A milestone of their journey was meeting President Droupadi Murmu, who inspired them to aspire and work towards their dreams.
Beyond just sightseeing, the tour served as a cultural immersion. It enabled the students to engage with people from varied backgrounds, breaking stereotypes and fostering unity. They also explored cutting-edge defense technologies and paid tribute to fallen heroes at the National War Memorial.
Manobi Baruah, another student from Tinsukia, reflected on the profound impact of the tour, stating, "The echoes of Mumbai’s streets, the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the serenity of Ahmednagar will stay with me forever."
This incredible experience has undeniably instilled a new vision in these young minds, motivating them to aim high and contribute positively to the nation’s future.
