Heartbreaking News: Justin Timberlake’s Oklahoma City Show Cancelled Due to Back Injury
Justin Timberlake has once again canceled a concert on his ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ owing to a back injury. The pop icon announced that the upcoming show in Oklahoma City on December 2 would not proceed. Timberlake, who has been grappling with health concerns, expressed his regret in a heartfelt Instagram post, revealing he injured his back in New Orleans and has been advised by doctors to rest more. He conveyed his disappointment to fans, posting, “I’m so sorry Oklahoma City… I hate doing this,” with a heart-hands emoji as a sign of his appreciation.
This is the latest in a string of setbacks for Timberlake’s tour, which has already been impacted by an undisclosed injury in October and several rescheduled dates due to his bouts with bronchitis and laryngitis. Despite these challenges, Timberlake plans to resume the tour on December 4 in Houston at the Toyota Center. Fans affected by the cancellation will be refunded, as announced on his official website.
The ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ marks Timberlake’s return to the stage after a five-year hiatus and promotes his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, launched earlier this year. The tour extends through 2025, covering venues across the US, South America, Europe, and the UK. Rescheduled dates from October are now shifted to February.
Timberlake has consistently communicated with fans about the health-related disruptions, apologizing for the inconvenience and promising to deliver the performances they deserve. Apart from health issues, Timberlake has also navigated personal hurdles this year, including accepting a plea deal for a DWI charge in September, resulting in a $500 fine and 25 hours of community service.
