Fiery Showdown: Arvind Kejriwal Unleashes Scathing Attack on Amit Shah After Assault
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal has intensified his criticism of Union Home Minister Amit Shah following an attack during his ‘padyatra’ in Greater Kailash, Delhi. The incident involved a bus marshal, Ashok Jha, who allegedly attempted to throw a liquid, described as “spirit,” at Kejriwal. The police quickly detained Jha at the scene and are investigating the motive behind the act. Kejriwal challenged Shah on social media, questioning the efficacy of targeting him instead of addressing rising crime in the capital.
AAP members have accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating the attack to silence Kejriwal, citing previous occurrences whenever BJP faces electoral defeats. AAP leader Satyendra Jain and spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar both criticized the BJP, alleging that the attacker has ties to the party. Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj described the incident as an attempt to harm Kejriwal seriously, asserting this was indicative of a severe lapse in the capital’s law and order.
AAP’s Punjab Chief Aman Arora condemned the attack as cowardly, viewing it as a desperate attempt by the BJP to undermine Kejriwal’s influence. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi predicted significant electoral losses for the BJP in upcoming elections due to public backlash against such tactics.
In contrast, Congress leader Mumtaz Patel suggested the incident might have been staged by AAP to garner attention ahead of elections, suggesting it was a tactic to stay relevant. This allegation adds an intriguing dimension to the political tensions brewing in Delhi.
The altercation raises questions about security measures in place for public figures in Delhi, while AAP continues to rally support, alleging political motivations behind the attack.
