Tragic Loss: 22-Year-Old YouTuber’s Heartfelt Last Words Before Freezing to Death in Swedish Snowstorm
A 22-year-old YouTuber, Storm De Beul, who embraced solitude and nature, tragically died in a sudden snowstorm in Sweden’s Lapland on October 30. The adventurous content creator had spent months hiking alone in the secluded Jokkmokk region before being caught in the fatal blizzard. Despite sending his grandmother a reassuring message as the storm intensified, it was the last communication he made.
In a video shared with a friend, Storm revealed the worsening conditions, but seemed unfazed by the potential danger. However, his mother speculated that the storm’s severity forced him out of his shelter, possibly after his tent was swept away. The storm, with its extreme wind chills, left him with severely frozen legs and a broken nose, indicating a fall.
Just a day’s trek from his vehicle, Storm had reached out to emergency services, but the adverse weather made immediate rescue impossible. By the time assistance arrived, he had succumbed to the elements. Rescuers later found him wearing a backpack with minimal supplies.
His father plans to return in the spring to recover Storm’s belongings, especially his camera, which holds cherished memories of his last journey. With over 1,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, @StormOutdoorsy, Storm was known for documenting his camping adventures in remote landscapes—a legacy cherished by his family.
