GANGTOK: In a chilling incident from Upper Singhik near Mangan town, a 56-year-old teacher has been found brutally murdered, his body buried in his courtyard. The victim, identified as Passang Tinku Lepcha, had been missing since November 19.
Lepcha, who taught at Mangan Senior Secondary School, was last in contact with his family prior to his disappearance. Concerned about his father’s sudden silence, Lepcha’s son traveled from Gangtok to Upper Singhik on November 22. Upon arrival and finding the residence empty, the son discovered the grizzly sight of a human’s toes protruding from the courtyard’s mud amidst plants. Alarmed, he promptly informed the Mangan police.
Police officers quickly arrived at the scene, uncovering the body, which the son identified as his missing father, Passang Tinku Lepcha. The victim had sustained multiple injuries from a sharp-edged weapon, with blood stains marking the bedroom’s bed, shoe rack, and walls.
