Unleash Your Imagination: Dive into the Spectacular Kochi International Book Fest – Starting November 29!
The 27th Kochi International Book Festival 2024 is set to take place from November 29 to December 8 at Ernakulathappan ground. This annual celebration of literature will include dynamic book discussions and a variety of cultural performances. Running concurrently, the eighth Kochi Literature Festival will also be hosted at the same venue, fostering debates on pressing contemporary issues with participation from a diverse array of personalities, including artists, politicians, historians, poets, scientists, and journalists.
In conjunction with these festivals, a children’s book fest was organized across approximately 100 schools, encouraging students to display books from their personal collections. Among the participants, NSS Higher Secondary School, Thripunithura, exhibited the largest collection, followed by Sreenarayana Vidyapeetom Public School, Thripunithura, and Vivekananda Vidhyalayam, Muvattupuzha. The schools excelling in the children’s book fest will be honored with cash prizes of ₹5,000, ₹3,000, and ₹2,000, respectively, with the awards ceremony scheduled for December 8 at the festival venue.
This multi-faceted event promises to be a vibrant platform for literary exchange and a celebration of culture and education.
