Manipur’s Struggle for Peace: Courageous Forces Arrive Amid Escalating Violence
In response to rising violence in Manipur, eight companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) have recently been deployed to Imphal, the state capital. This follows the arrival of 11 additional CAPF companies earlier in the week. Among these newly arrived forces, four companies each from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) are set to be stationed in the more vulnerable and border areas of the region. Notably, one of the CRPF units hails from their Mahila Battalion, emphasizing a diverse deployment strategy.
The central government had previously declared plans to send 50 new CAPF companies to Manipur amidst the deteriorating situation. This escalation in violence has prompted urgent measures to restore stability and security in the conflict-affected areas.
The situation in Manipur remains tense, with these deployments being part of broader efforts to quell the unrest and restore order. As events unfold, the involvement of these reinforced security forces aims to bring much-needed calm to the state.
