Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar in Assam is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a SERB-funded project titled “Design and Fabrication of Photovoltaic/Thermal Hybrid Solar Tunnel Dryer for Value Addition to Underutilized Agro Produce of NER-India.” Situated in the Kokrajhar District of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), CIT plays a crucial role in promoting the education and economic development of the Bodo community. It is a government-funded institution dedicated to providing technical and vocational training in the region.
The JRF position requires candidates with a BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech degree in fields like Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering & Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Agriculture Engineering, with a first-class distinction from a recognized institution. A solid understanding of project design and implementation, along with a valid GATE/NET score, is preferred.
The selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000 plus an 8% House Rent Allowance (HRA). The age limit for applicants is set at 35 years as per SERB norms. The JRF will be responsible for supporting project activities and may also have the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. if eligible.
