A devastating fire broke out at the evening market in Shalbaria, Baksa, significantly damaging the area and completely destroying a stationery shop. The shop, owned by Manohari Patgiri of Ujani Bahbari village, was reduced to ashes. Quick action by local residents and the fire department successfully brought the blaze under control. Although the cause of the fire is still being investigated, initial reports from locals suggest it may have been sparked by an electrical short circuit. The estimated financial loss from the destruction of the shop is approximately Rs 5 lakh.
